Trinity Muscatine has many opportunities for both junior and senior volunteers to work within a variety of hospital settings. Our volunteer organization is called the Auxiliary and our purpose is to provide assistance wherever needed in the hospital. We do not perform medical or nursing duties. Instead, our dedicated volunteers bring an extra touch of friendliness and comfort to the patients and visitors of Trinity Muscatine.
No special skills are required, though they are appreciated. Most volunteers come in once a week for 3-4 hours; a minimum of one year of service is anticipated. Our wide range of placements and shifts ensure we can arrange a volunteer schedule that's convenient for you.
Please feel free to call Diane Wagner at 563-264-8677 with any questions. We look forward to meeting you. |

Auxiliary membership runs from September 1 through August 31 of each year. Paid membership is a requirement for volunteers to qualify for liability coverage of Trinity Muscatine. The following types of membership are available:
- Active: This membership is $10.00 and is for one who wishes to participate in the services of the Auxiliary. All active volunteers are required to wear the official Auxiliary uniform while on duty in the hospital.
- Junior: Members, age 16-18, serve actively on one or more Auxiliary service. This membership is $5.00
- Associate: this membership is $15.00 and for one whom wishes to serve financially only. You will not be asked to participate in a service.
- Life: This membership is $150.00 payable over a two year period. This payment exempts the member from further payment of dues. The money received is designated for the Health Education Fund. Life members’ names are engraved on leaves placed in the hospital. Life members may participate in services of the Auxiliary as they wish.
